Firefighting 101

THESE PAGES ARE NOT MEANT TO BE A FORM OF FIREFIGHTER TRAINING!
Rather, they aim to inform the general public as to the how and why we do certain things.

For example - Learn how the firefighting system is organized to get the job done. Why we prefer to attack a house fire from the inside out. And why we do certain things at a fire scene, such as break windows and cut holes in rooftops.

We explain the specialized tools a firefighter uses including; the "Jaws of Life", the "Irons" & Rescue Saws,  Scott brand SCBA, Thermal Imaging Cameras and Bunker Gear.
