On Monday afternoon, at 1:00pm, the Riverhead Fire Department was alerted to a Signal-13, smell of smoke in a residence, on Bluegrass Court in Aquebogue.
Soon after our arrival, the problem was discovered to be the motor on the homes washing machine. The crew off the first arriving engine, 6-2-2, removed the appliance, with its burnt-up and smoking motor, from the home.
